My love of music began in the Seventies when I was no more than a little dot.

I grew up in pubs and used to sit on the stairs of the living quarters leading to the bar so I could hear the jukebox (remember those?)

My earliest memory is 60s song what becomes of the broken hearted by Jimmy Ruffin and Without you by Nilsson.

I don't know them from their original release dates (too young) only from the jukebox. Both songs used to bring me to tears even though I was only about 5 or 6 and I still love them to this day.

Much prefer Nilsson's version than Mariah Carey's, she ruined it! (Sorry Mariah fans)

Here’s another one of my favourite American musicians who left us all too early but whose legend lives on through his music.

Barry White AKA the “walrus of love” - You’re the first, the last, my everything
