I could think of other examples, but one of the few times I got mad was when JR tried and exceeded to force Sue Ellen, a known alcoholic, to start drinking.

I thought that was cold and showed a level of pure hatred. When people say JR loved Sue Ellen, I usually think about this scenario.

When Pam goes to the nursery to check on John Ross only to find Sue Ellen is there instead. Pam sees Sue Ellen finally holding her son and tells Bobby she’s lost him. Bobby tells her he was never hers. True but not exactly the most supportive way of putting it.

The revelation of Edgar’s secret. I understand he had reformed and wasn’t that person anymore. People do make mistakes and become better for them sometimes but I had a hard time liking him as much after what he had done was revealed. He became less sympathetic in my eyes as the storyline unfolded. Perhaps I’m being a little harsh but I found myself rooting for J.R. here more than I did Edgar at times.

When Digger asks for money for Pam and Jock scoffs and says “Here’s a hundred.” She should’ve reared back and given them both two of her famous slaps right there.

The scene with J.R. and Laurel. The less said about it the better. Perhaps the worst thing he ever did.

one of them high rises down in Venezuela
Ray losing that fight to J.R. at Southfork.
I’d say to give him a break, that JR got lucky and hit him with a ‘foreign object’, but.. a flimsy little telephone handle? Pathetic! Couldn’t they have at least had a (non-Alan) beam fall from the ceiling and knock him out or something?

They were always doing this sort of thing to poor Ray, all the way back to Winds of Vengeance — even little Lucy took care of business just fine as they were rounding up the cattle in the storm, but rugged cowboy Ray is the one who falls and is rendered useless..

JR forcing Laurel to have sex.

JR setting Sue Ellen up to catch him in bed with Kimberly even knowing how catching him with Holly had almost destroyed her years earlier.

Cliff stealing from his mother, trying to use SE to "fix it," trying to commit suicide, then blaming everyone else for his actions.

Pam trying to buy Jenna's baby.

The whole damn family 's treatment of SE after Calhoun kidnapped her.

Ray telling Pam to "order him up a steak" from room service like he was too good to do it himself.

In that attic above Falcon Crest
Sue Ellen, once she's back in good graces with JR, then turning on those who took risks to help her when she was down.

And then going to them for help once again following yet another split with JR.

After the Season 8 (DVD blahblahblah) Oil Baron's Ball, and Bobby confronts JR in the living room about his announcing his engagement to Jenna during the festivities, and Sue Ellen chimes in with her two cents --- that's the moment any reasonable person dives over the coffee table with a butcher knife at the bitch.

That's when Sue Ellen dies.

Pam should´ve answered to Ray: "If you´re capable to eat Lucy´s steak, then you can order yourself another". I´d love to see everybody´s reactions to that.

Even though I loved SE and JR together, I honestly got angry with her every time she took him back and started declaring to EVERYONE that he had "changed" and this time was going to be "different."

This one is relatively mild compared to all the terrible things characters have done on the show, but it still irked me:

JR mocked Gary in front of Lucy and she naturally responded. Bobby told Lucy if she doesn't like things around SF then to move. This made me angry because Lucy had every right to mouth of to JR and Bobby had no right to tell anyone to move out of SF since he didn't own it.

Sue Ellen going back with J.R. so quickly after they divorced. I liked seeing her on her own and living away from the Southfork bubble. I wish it could’ve continued a little longer.

Could you please elaborate on that. Some context might be needed because I'm sure Bobby didn't coldly tell Lucy to leave because she clapped back at JR.

Lucy literally throwing herself at Peter. "The boy don't won't you. Can you get it through your blond head?" Lol Then she actually gets mad because he doesn't want to be a model.

Another one that angered me was Jenna giving in so easily to Naldo and then marrying him. The Ewings, one of which she was engaged to, had the power to help her. She was too easily blackmailed into that situation. Bobby and J.R. could’ve gotten to the bottom of that and found Katherine was behind it before Jenna ended up being framed for murder. At the very least she should’ve alerted the authorities herself.

Another example of convenient writing, rather than narrative consistency

But Marchetta had kidnapped Charlie. Didn't he threaten her by saying, "Marry me or you'll never see Charlie again." And he didn't let her out of his sight so she could call the authorities.

I think the bigger question is, why didn't JR do something when Jenna initially told him about Marchetta. JR has had people run out of Dallas for far less. Why didn't he send some of his "good old boys" or his shady detective Harry to pay Marchetta a visit?
