Would Den Watts have fitted into EastEnders during 2005-2018? - I ask this question because the Sharon and Dennis stuff is what ruined his 2003-2005 stint, (Dennis Rickman should NEVER have been brought into the show in the first place), and Zoe/Michelle Ryan moved on towards the end of 2005 anyway or around the summer of that year.

Whether 2004 had happened or not with actor Leslie Grantham's webcam stupidity whilst at work, he'd had still upset his co-workers with Pauline/Wendy Richard, Pat/Pam St Clement and Dot/June Brown all ending up leaving. Maybe even Sharon/Letitia Dean would've quit too and Phil/Steve McFadden may not have returned in 2005 after his 1990-2003 stint, although there would have been a small possibility of Grant/Ross Kemp returning definitely on his own or something.

Maybe Den and Peggy would've got together at some point too, with Den divorcing Chrissie eventually.

Finally, I remember Den Watts and Johnny Allen were on good terms at the start of 2005 with Johnny's introduction, so maybe Billy Murray's Johnny Allen character could've been developed better without Johnny's girlfriend and daughter being brought in to nullify as a force, although part of me thinks that eventually Den and Johnny would have got into a feud similar to how Den did with James Wilmott-Brown, and Den reuniting with Kathy Beale too during 2015-2018 - The reason I say up to 2018 is because 2018 was the year that the actor Leslie Grantham had died.

Discuss.

OK then!

The beauty of Enders and its rich history is that you can pretty much position anyone anywhere and motivate them to do anything, so long as you dig deep enough into the past and make it all about FAMILY. It worked beautifully this week with a couple of reminders of Phil's history with Sonia (Phil promising his nephew Jamie on his deathbed in 2002 that he'd look out for Sonia; Sonia saving Phil's son Ben with a ballpoint pen after he'd been shot by the amazing Hunter Owen in 2019) and all of a sudden, he goes from wanting to tear her fiancee's head off to getting her a lawyer in her hour of need.

There's no need to be aggressive. As for the Den question, you didn't answer my question.

Was I? Not consciously. Maybe I was being passive-aggressive. I have been guilty of that in the past, without realising.

I thought I did, in a general sense. More specifically: Sure, why not?

You weren't, best policy is to ignore this poster and most of their 'valuable contributions' to this site.
