Which was your favourite, in terms of the action/scenes which took place?

I voted for the Globe, where he should have stayed. Tuscany Downs was too small and obviously a set, and the radio station was daytimey: it´s only useful for finding Maggie and, later, for launching Babylonia (ugh!).

The New San Francisco Globe newspaper was the most successful business, after the winery and vineyards of Falcon Crest. 1 million copies were circulated across the three editions / day. All of the Channing family were involved; there were takeovers, showdowns, a touching meltdown and of course plenty of humour. The racetrack and radio station didn't last as long. When I was younger I thought the balcony of the Turf Club was awesome.

Richard and his personal assistant Pamela arrive into the New Globe building, (a scene from season 3, 1983-'84):

Richard: "I don't want to keep those bankers waiting, for long."

Pamela: "Richard, I ran into Spheeris. He knows about you putting up the newspaper stock, for the bank loans you're after."

Richard: "How could he know that?"

Pamela: "I don't know! I certainly didn't tell him. I certainly wouldn't betray you. The cartel found out somehow."

Richard looks her up and down.
