Constance called Frankie in London and asked her to come home so she and Jeff would have a chance to get to know eachother.

This feeling was caused by a conversation she had with Jason just before she made the call.

Admittedly, what actually
happened in the episode is not as convincing as someone's idea of "being obvious".
They did not look like any pushing was needed
Of course they didn't need any pushing, they were the Great Love That Was Meant To Be, that's why Frankie told Constance that she "couldn't come back" (and Constance had zero knowledge of Jason and Frankie's history).
THE COLBYS is very much about
side effects, instead of straightforward action/reaction scenarios.
It seems to me that some fans want to unravel those clever side effects (or ignore them altogether) in order to mould the show into something that it's
not.
It's like those Dallas fans who are determined to find something good in JR Ewing or put the JR & Sue Ellen relationship on a pedestal.
