Description: "On the eve of the Carrington Foundation fundraiser, bodies are pulled from the lake on the Carrington estate; Fallon finds herself haunted by Trixie's death in unexpected ways; Kirby visits Culhane."

Premieres on the CW Friday, October 11th at 9pm Eastern...but check your local listings because everyone seems to watch it on different platforms at different times. The "countdown clock" on the main page is actually four hours ahead of the actual premiere, giving you plenty of time to collect your thoughts and prepare for another New Cristal. :)

Thanks to the brain-dead local programmers at my local CW affiliate, the season premiere of Dynasty is being pre-empted for a high-school football game. The show (along with Charmed, which should have aired in the 8pm slot) will be aired tomorrow night. Well, la-dee-da. Had I known, I would have gotten Blake to cause power outage at the stadium the way he did for Daddy Flores's soccer stadium in season two.

I wonder if they will do something better with the opening titles this season? I know a few new faces will be added...hope they'll drop a few bucks on something more suitable.

NLflix has decided not mention anything at all. Nix, nothing, rien du tout!

I mean, like, we wouldn't notice???
According to an update in May, the expired deal with the CW would not affect series like Riverdale and Dynasty. But I'd expect them to at least mention "coming soon/next week/tomorrow"...

For heaven's sake!

Australian Netflix still carries new eps of Riverdale each week, so I’m hoping they’ll do the same for NuDynasty.

Spoilers ahead:

Blake and the rest of the family assemble in the library (Cristal has changed... out of her wedding dress) and get their stories straight: Mac hasn't worked for Blake in ten years; Trixie visited Fallon but left early in the evening. Blake is pissed at Adam for hiring divers; he smacks him. Adam offers to make it up to Blake somehow but Blake tells him to keep out of his business. Cristal goes to Adam and tells him to make things right; Adam tells her Blake told him to steer clear but Cristal persuades him to change his mind. Cristal 3.0 is a badass.

Liam was fished out of the pool by Tony the gardner (apparently his legal name is "Tony The Gardner") and Liam is in a coma; the doctors don't know when Liam will come to. Fallon is bothered by unwelcome visits from Ashley (Liam's ex) and Trixie (who Fallon realizes is a figment of her imagination). Adam sneaks into Liam's hospital room wearing a lab coat and attempts to inject something in his I.V. when Fallon enters and causes him to stop. Adam says he's just checking up on Liam. Fallon tells Adam she wants him nowhere near Liam.

Fallon visits Trixie's mother in hopes of gaining closure (and to get imaginary Trixie to leave her alone). Trixie's mother responds by having an anxiety attack.

Sam is preoccupied remodeling the hotel. Michael is preoccupied being locked in jail.

Blake has Kirby kicked out of the mansion (though he lets one of his maids do the dirty work). Kirby offers to leverage the publishing company to raise Michael's bail but he tells her not to bother and asks her to leave him alone.

Dominique hands Adam's cuff-link to Blake in return for a seven figure check. Dominique is supposed to be using the press to publicize Jeff's disappearance/apparent murder but is obviously doing it to get attention for herself.

Blake is stressed over the police investigation into Mac and Trixie's deaths; he wants to bail on the Carrington's fund-raiser for the Atlanta Aquarium (thinking it's a bad visual - he's right) but Cristal convinces him it would look worse if they didn't attend. Blake pressures Anders to get inside info on the police investigation but Anders is unable.

Dominique is scheduled to do an online interview regarding Jeff and is pissed when she's bumped in favor of coverage of the Aquarium fund-raiser. Dominique crashes the fund-raiser and takes to the podium to compliment Blake/throw him under the bus. Cristal (remember, she's a badass now) warns Dominique to leave her family alone. Adam sneaks into the morgue and swaps toe-tags from Mac and a corpse that is to sent to be cremated. Adam shares the good news with Blake and Cristal at the fund-raiser. Fallon takes to the podium and announces a scholarship in Trixie's name; imaginary Trixie disappears from the crowd when this happens. Leaving the fund-raiser Fallon hears someone calling her name and discovers it's imaginary Trixie floating in one of the fish tanks. Trixie then materializes face to face with Fallon and tells her everything she has done has been to alleviate her own guilt - not to make things right.

Fallon goes to see Liam at the hospital and is happy to see he is conscious. She's not happy to see Ashley is there. Before you can say A Love Remembered Liam asks Fallon "who are you" and refers to Ashley as his "girlfriend".

Back at the mansion Blake is turned on by Cristal's badassery. Blake and Cristal are in the throes of passion when Adam rushes into their bedroom: the police are here to arrest Blake. Cut to Fallon at the police station spilling her guts over Trixie's death; she says Mac and Blake covered it up and Blake killed Mac.

By the way: the masquerade ball seen in the promos is not in this episode.

I dunno
So, they just cut out Ana Brenda out of the "previously on..." bit.

NuNuNuCristal is ok I guess, though in her first brief scene it seemed like she was trying to speak with a bit of an accent that was gone by her second scene - she's no Cellini though. Boo! Liam's in a hospital gown - what kind of hospital is this? Poor Fallon going crazy. Dominique is enjoying the attention a missing son means. Also, are we supposed to believe that Kirby couldn't find a hotel / motel to stay at in Atlanta?

Uh-oh. I guess Fallon came clean. And now Liam has soap opera amnesia.

Summary: much better than The Aftermath.

Thanxs for the spoiler alert... But no worries: you spoil nothing... We could have wrote the recap of the episode before it aired...
Convenient amnesia... Adam sneaking into Liam's room with a serynge ( a tribute to Katherine Wentworth maybe?) another ghost again ( hello Roger Grimes!) haunting its murderer (a tribute to daytimes or to Empire's psycho Andre?)...

Everything seems to be as cliché and predictable as we... predicted...

Microwaved storylines once again obviously.

When I think of the way the show was once promoted... a "modernized revival".
As for the revival, right: they revive long dead anf buried plots from the 80's. But as for the modernity, it seems to be gone with Atlanta's wind...

Just an FYI for those like me who have Amazon Prime, season 3 is available to purchase for $3.99 for the entire season. I bought the last two seasons for $25 each so I'd get the offer soon if you're interested. It's typically $2.99 per episode so I'm shocked they're offering it for so little.

Is anyone else in the UK getting anywhere with the new episode on Netflix? I wasn’t sure whether it was only certain countries Netflix wasn’t adding it as per the other posts - but it’s not on Netflix UK yet...

Thanks for the spoilers @Grant Jennings

I hate being spoiled when I love a show. But for Nu Dynasty, I don't care anymore. So I fully and carefully read your post.

So, the new show runner is no David Paulsen... Unfortunately. Well, I don't want to judge before I actually see the episode. But soap amnesia is lame. How many of us (me included) predicted that ? I don't mind predictable plots when they are good, or when they make sense. But soap amnesia ? "Who are you ?"... I don't know if I have to laugh or cry. Credibility is not heir thing. As I said, they could go with the "short term amnesia" (meaning Liam just doesn't remember being attacked by Adam). It happens a lot to people who have car accident for exemple. Or better, Liam could pretend he has short term amnesia, this way he's not a threat to Adam anymore. But a the end of the episode, we learn that Liam actually remembers and he is plotting against Adam, and that he has to be cleverer than him. This gives Liam a kind of "revenge" plot, instead of just being "Fallon's love interest"...

Well, I wonder how they will re-introduce New Nu Alexis. But I'm quite sure it won't be as good that my ideas.

Dominique is the interim Alexis I guess.

Cristal3.0 has a personality now ? I mean, just one ?

Overal a decent episode, much better than last years premiere as they at least follow up right after. Cristal 3 is much better imo than Cristal 2 but still doesnt feel right (I think no one except for Nat will fit for me). Although soap amnesia... seriously?

Rewatched episodes 20, 21 and 22 from season 1 a few days ago. Nathalie Kelley's Cristal was so much better than Cristal 2.0 (as a character)
Those 3 episodes were great. NS Alexis had a purpose. Her plan with the fake Adam was so devious... It was great Dynasty...

The opener for the final season of Modern Family seems to find a tone that was missed so far. Instead of parodying a night time soap they satirize now Reality TV's cheap bastards, the Kardashians. Cheap TV meets cheap TV works better for me. Fallon still too dominant but the other actors are now more into that style. Show doesn't deliver a line without grinning. This helps convincingly to fend off any reasons to care for plausibility and presents us an unavoidable meta line about a "third chance" to NuCrystal.

Fallon vs. Kirby = this could be Alexis vs. Krystle for the CW generation if done in every episode.

Michael Michele's Dominique = Entertaining, scheming and FABULOUS!

Daniella Alonso = good start!

Adam as a doctor = I would watch a series with him without any other actors.

Liam = the final scene must have been an homage to Soap. Thanks, he can shower soon!

Thanks for your feedback. I think you meant Daniella Alonso though.

Was the episode on Netflix Germany ?

I mostly enjoyed the premiere to be honest, but yes, the soapnesia just seems unnecessary especially now that Liam is in the opening title. We know Ashley might be a three episode speed bump at best; it probably would've been better to just have him have short term memory loss which is actually fairly common with head traumas.
