What is your favourite death in the show?
Who had the best demise?
Who's last stand grabbed you?

Ironically, perhaps, in retrospect, but Bobby's death was a truly emotional affair. We already knew Patrick was really leaving so we believed it was final and they pulled out all the stops.

Kristin's.

Because it is iconic and one of the first I remember. It wasn't "pulled back" like Bobby either.

"She's dead. You BASTARD!"

First in a fake cliffhanger and then just randomly off-screen.

Jock's! Because it was sooooooooooo devastating, and because the show was never really the same after that.

In terms of the amount of tremendous emotional impact it had on me, the death of my favorite character Bobby would have to be it. It was so sad! Patrick Duffy (and the rest of the clan) did an amazing job!

I "cheered" the most when April was killed off, since I disliked everything about her character. She's definitely my favorite death - at least in the later seasons!

I was glad to see Mark Graison go, but other than that his death was pretty "uneventful" for me!

Kristin's death came as such a complete surprise! And I loved the entire storyline in the aftermath of her death! But she doesn't beat April!

When Jock went missing and eventually was pronounced dead, I was sad, but in a different way! I agree with @Alexia that Dallas in many ways never quite "recovered" from the loss of Jock (even though I really grew to like Clayton a whole lot). When the Ewing men were left without a father, it changes things on so many different levels! I loved (and ended up missing) the chemistry and the dialogue between Miss Ellie and Jock. After all, 40 years of marriage (along with the whole history behind their courtship) was real special, IMO!

When Mandy ALMOST fell in front of that car, omg that was going to be my favourite death. I would have had a street party.

I really liked April and was sad when she died, but I think in terms of 'favourite' if that is the right word - it would be Bobby and Jock. I cried so hard when Bobby died. Kristin's death and aftermath was very exciting.

In later years and for the new series, it was of course JR. Broke. My. Heart.

Yes, that was heart-wrenching!! I stopped watching Dallas TNT after Larry Hagman passed, for me Dallas without JR just isn't Dallas!!!!

Once again, I feel like throwing a big party! ... ... ... I couldn't stand the change that April had brought about in Bobby! I was thrilled to have Bobby and Christopher being just the two of them again!
