Actor Miguel Ferrer dies at 61

Actor Miguel Ferrer has passed away due to cancer. He was 61.

Son of Rosemary Clooney and cousin of George Clooney, Ferrer is mostly known from series such as NCIS: LA, Crossing Jordan and Twin Peaks.

Ferrer will return in the upcoming Twin Peaks revival as his original character of FBI agent Albert Rosenfield.



I love Albert on Twin Peaks! Good to see him return, but it will feel weird to see him knowing the actor is dead.

I found him quite an intense actor. While I don't strongly associate him with any particular role (his turn in Will & Grace is the one that usually comes to mind first), he always brought a gravitas to his work. I most recently watched him in an episode of Cagney & Lacey which would have been one of his earliest roles and he still jumped off the screen in his one scene.

Shame to hear he's died at such an early age. Bloody cancer.
