The Encyclopaedia Salesman feels very much like a scene from a sitcom rather than a simple sketch. Everything feels very established and confident:

And then there&#039;s The Party Where They Say The Same Things As Each Other. The &quot;Party&quot; sketches feel very essential to this series. The very first sketch in Series One was one of these. Again, I think these little gems are very underrated. This one has some terrific comic timing and shows the great rapport between the two:

The Plumstead Ladies Male Voice Choir is terrific. So much of the funniest Ronnies wordplay is in the dialogue of their musical numbers, and I love the cattiness of this one. Plus both Ronnies are just so good at drag:

Johnny Wade - best known to me as Roger the handyman from You&#039;re Only Young Twice - appeared in a good number of the Series Five episodes. As did Jacki Piper who I know best from some early Seventies Carry Ons.</blockquote>
