He was attacked on stage in NY. Some sources say he was stabbed with a knife. No word yet of his condition. The suspect has been arrested.

No, of course not. To be clear, I did not mean to imply that most Iranians are celebrating the attack. Just "many". I saw footage from Iran on TV where they talked with some of those celebrating.

There looked to be a bandage over an eye.

I hope he's feeling better and isn't too traumatized by such a cowardly attack on an unarmed, vulnerable man.
