[QUOTE="Jock Og, post: 277610, member: 17"] Much missed Liverpool set BROOKSIDE is making a comeback on streaming, via BritBox. Certain classic episodes along with CROSSROADS and TAKE THE HIGH ROAD will be shown from July. Channel 4 needed a flagship show, away back in the day. The residents of the Close certainly took both sides of the water by storm, throughout the eighties. 'Brookie' was quite the mixture of down to earth realism, often dark stories and laughs to provide a balance. While the fall of the show was quite bad in the early noughties I still feel it could have been saved.
