Well, this could either be good or a trainwreck I guess, especially considering the various ways that's been suggested over the years for the show to get a reboot without Sarah. Hopefully with her on it, it means the script is good but who knows what her taste level is...

Although if this fails, let's get the #RebootRinger campaign going.

I wish I could be more excited about the Buffy reboot. But right now I am wondering if this will even be picked up for a full season?

I hope it does well and it's good that SMG is involved.

Sadly Michelle Trachtenberg won't be as she died this week at the age of 39.

i think it's a mistake it's coming back but that's just me i mean as a reboot. now if SMG came back to the role even if it's just as a TVM movie i'd be okay with that

But SMG is coming back!
Buffy will be in this show but she won't be a leading character.

i hadn't heard that just that she was done with the series, last i heard it was in development but it's been a couple of years since i last heard anything. i don't remember hearing she was going to be involved at all

The last reboot we heard about a few years ago never got off the ground. It's not the same project.

It's been said that Buffy's their "mentor", so yes, kind of. It seems a bit up in the air how much Sarah will be in it - at first it seemed more in a recurring capacity, but she's getting very involved in it at the moment.

Thanks for sharing. This is the first I heard about Alyson also being involved. It will be interesting to see Buffy and Willow back on this show!
But seeing all the monsters just made me feel bleh. I am so not in the shows demo (14-24) anymore. I didn't think it looked scary at all. Maybe it's because the real world has gotten so dark since 1997 that it's way scarier than any metahorical monster on a TV show.
