I can't say I'm surprised. It was clear that they're only interested in the appearance of unity, but they actually want the progressive gone because they upset their apple cart.

The media has been putting out articles about how Democrats need to strengthen their ties to Wall Street, and how Democrats should focus on identity politics instead of income inequality. Meanwhile, Democrats are already looking at ways to ensure yet another tool of the establishment becomes their nominee, such as moving up the California primary.

As much as they love using Bernie Sanders, you have to be blind to not to see their true intentions. As corrupt and disastrous as Trump is, I believe the chances of a neoliberal beating him is far less than a progressive. We already saw in 2016 that supporting NAFTA, TPP, and not bothering to campaign in the swing states is toxic to winning over working class voters.

Yes, some of them vote against their own self interests. However, a progressive who fights for income equality is likely to do better than a neoliberal who doesn't. The DNC appointed an anti-$15 minimum wage stooge to the Finance Committee, and we all know where they stood on the TPP. They don't care about people's jobs or ability to make a livable wage.

As long as the DNC has that corporate cash rolling in, they'd rather take their chances and lose to a Republican than win with a progressive.

Not only is the DNC purging themselves of Bernie Sanders backers, they've also appointed one of the corrupt primary riggers to the rules committee.

What a bunch of soulless, corrupt hacks. It's sad to see what's become of the Democratic Party.

Identity politics is an issue over in Britain but not as much as in America, the guardian ran a piece the other day about how there is now a divided between leftists and liberals.

As long as the establishment left focuses on identity politics, purges progressives from the party, and appoints primary cheaters to the rules committee, that divide will continue to exist.

Up until a month ago, there were two centrists here who shot down every criticism I made of establishment Dems by saying they were "minor flaws" or "not in the same ballpark."

Unfortunately, it's not just Republicans who have their useful idiots. Everything's about identity politics these days, and Democrats will praise any scum bag as long as they hate Trump.

Chuck Schumer, the guy who does the bidding of Wall Street, voted in favor of the Iraq War and the Patriot Act, and said Democrats should try to win over moderate Republicans instead of blue collar Democrats, has praised Republican Jeff Flake. Flake said he won't seek reelection in 2018 because of his opposition to Trump, even though he voted with him 90% of the time. Like Schumer, he was also in favor of the Iraq War and the Patriot Act. And yet people think I'm crazy when I say there's hardly any distinction between Republicans and Democrats.

The biggest difference is that Republicans are in bed with evangelicals, and their policies tend to screw us just a little bit more. But it's the Democrats' shift towards the right that's caused the Republican party to be a party of extremists. Sadly, Democrats aren't far behind.

And thanks to the new age of McCarthyism we're living in, anyone who says the Democratic primary was rigged is called a "Russian bot" by the Hillary shills.

There was even a lawsuit over the rigged primaries, which was ultimately dropped. However, the DNC lawyer admitted in open court that the DNC reserves the right to choose their candidate however they want. He even alluded to choosing the candidate in "smoke filled rooms" if they wanted too, so they don't give a damn if the public knows they're corrupt.

The saddest part is seeing middle class and even poverty-stricken Dems who continue to support establishment trash over progressives. They're as hopeless as Trump supporters.

Tamblyn actually believes that Sanders turned Hillary into a villain, and that it had nothing to do with what she stood for or believes in? That's ridiculous. All Bernie did was tell the truth. And even if you take Bernie out of the equation, Hillary herself was on video ridiculing millennials, saying she didn't need to campaign for the progressive vote because she was "winning," saying the debate on universal healthcare was pointless because it would "never come to pass." Not to mention her defense of paid Wall Street speeches because "men take money from Wall Street too." Hillary's problems were not because she's a woman, despite what faux feminists like her and Tamblyn say. Her undoing was neoliberalism and hubris.

Bernie drew millennials because he was a policy wonk. If more Democrats would come out in favor of positions the people want, they would see their popularity rise as well. Instead, we get mealy mouthed Dems who talk in circles as to why they won't support single payer, free college, a jobs program, ending the wars, etc. The root cause? Money in politics.
