Also interesting that you mention that they didn't mention it. I'm not sure how it should have been used in conversation between the characters. "My God, that's incest". It feels like stating the obvious. But then I thought, apart from not-mentioning incest, it usually really isn't about incest, is it. "They can't marry!" That's about destroying a romance, and that's how it feels to us, the viewer, because we had no idea it would end like this. And of course, and maybe this is the most important part of these scenarios, the delious prospect of emotional havoc once these characters find out that they are related, one way or another. We know the secret, but they don't - yet. So it seems to be a lot of things except for what it really is: the unhealthy nature of that relationship - because SoapLand doesn't like unhealthy. The fact that Cecil Colby might be Fallon's father brought us a delightful scene with two hysterical, bejewelled Dynasty divas and a shocking car crash. And the very idea that Fallon may not be Blake's real daughter. And not: that Fallon may be Cecil's daughter. (although it made Alexis chuckle in another scene, and I thought there was something cool and lawless and un-American about her, but that was before she became Queen Of Denver). So it was possible that Fallon had (had) the hots for her real father, although one could argue that she chose Cecil because she had the hots for her real father. So kinky, so "Harold Robbins". But how unhealthy and ghastly is it, for Paige & Peter (even if he was her real uncle) and Clay & Leslie? Some time ago I watched, I don't remember what it was, but someone married her adopted brother, they grew up together. Oh wait, it was Elena Ramos and Joaquin, they didn't marry but they did everything else. Anyway, they were not blood-related but I found it far more incestuous than Clay & Leslie. But then again I found it hard to feel *anything* for Clay or Leslie.
