I've read that NBC ordered the development of the spinoff directly at HazyMills, which was the production company of the original show.
So i'm not sure if then there has to be a new pilot procedure?!

The absolute majority of shows get pilot treatments - it really doesn't seem to have gone beyond the pitch stage at this point as it doesn't seem to even have had a completed script. It's not beyond the possibility that it gets pushed to next season or somewhere in the future. Grimm ended only recently.

Could it be? On the Facebook "Bring Back Grimm" page, someone posted an "official-unofficial" release date for the Grimm spin-off with a female lead as Friday, 10-23-2020. WTF does "official-unofficial' even mean?

I checked some of the IMDb pages for some of the old cast members with no postings of, "in production projects", they might be on, concerning any spin-off.

It's not even gotten the proper pilot treatment yet and there doesn't really seem to be a script. That sounds like dreamy fanfiction to me.

Obviously, they wouldn't have decided on an airdate a year in advance. That's not how US television works.

Some bad news! From Grimm-wiki:

"On May 12, 2019, NBC released their upcoming 2019-20 fall schedule, which did not include the Grimm spinoff. Elizabeth Tulloch later confirmed on her Twitter page that the show was not picked up".

That was it, Grimmsters. :(
