This show has been mentioned here and there on different threads but there hasn't been much trace of it online, bar the opening credits and an ABC promo that have been on YouTube for a few years (see below). Now, an actual episode clip has surfaced! It's short but melodramatic (much like the show's run). I'm not sure if this is ripped from an episode (which would give me hope of the series appearing online at some stage) or from The Last of the Powerseekers, the TV movie from 1971 that was made from two Survivors episodes cobbled together. Either way, it's the most we've seen online to date of Lana Turner's first foray into primetime soap.

A couple of people on YouTube have asked the person that uploaded this clip if they have full episodes. They state that they don't and that this clip is ripped from another TV programme (I'm presuming a profile of Lana maybe) BUT.... the uploader says that they think the series may be available in German!! Does anyone know if this is the case? I haven't been able to find anything using the direct translation (Die Überlebenden) but then again, I know Euro TV networks often retitled US shows (in Italy, it was called The Price of Power). I'm not fluent in German but I'd watch this just to see what this "lost" soap was like.

Apparently the movie "Net Worth" is also called "Die Macht des Geldes", so that might explain why there's some confusing info re: dvd release.

Much appreciated Marika. I'm still unable to find anything about episodes online or on DVD but based on your info, I came across some discussions about it's time on German TV and some plot points that I didn't know about, so thanks!

Apparently the movie "Net Worth" is also called "Die Macht des Geldes", so that might explain why there's some confusing info re: dvd release.

I've had similar issues when trying to track down German episodes of Bare Essence, as it's German title "Suße Gift" has been used on a more recent film.

THE SURVIVORS has always been a soap I'd like to see. Maybe one day that'll come true. I'd gobble them all up if You-Know-Where were to upload them.​
