Have you lost your mancard?

Hysterical.

For someone so determined to retain his mancard, he's dressed astonishingly like Gloria Swanson.

It's an old trope that 'it's-not-gay-if-you're-not-on-the-bottom'. Especially in the community. So Terence sounds a little defensive.

Although one can't blame him for not wanting to be diddled by Diddy.

As far as "tops" or "bottoms" go (terms I revile, as those should only be determined by who reaches the bed first) perhaps the bottoms are the "real men" because they can take the pain... And, for that matter, some of the most masculine guys I've ever known (despite the images in porn) have preferred, if anything, not being in the "top" position --- at least, not strictly. (Strict tops, from my experience, tend to be control freaks, or convinced they're the only person actually there .... although I'm probably being a little harsh).

And, just perhaps, he might be Lyon to us.

Besides, real men are flippers. It's just more polite.

A QR code for a hook-up with Lucious Lyon. How nice.

I get the integrity thing but he paints an incomplete picture here. How does it work for people who get raped? Is there a difference between giving up your mancard (the look on the face of the interviewer is priceless) and your mancard taken away from you?
And what if you're drunk and high and somebody told you they "did it" but they didn't? Does it also count when you believe it happened?
And are there different types of mancards, like a gold mancard or a mancard for poor students?

There indeed used to be the belief that rape diminished you, whether a man or a woman, somehow.

But there's no logic to the old homo-defensive reasoning. And, again, what does 'topping' make you??

:haha:

It's an old trope that 'it's-not-gay-if-you're-not-on-the-bottom'.

This also seems to be quite prevalent in the Latino community. I've met 'straight' Brazilians who won't kiss you on the lips but are quite happy to max out your mancard.

Strict tops, from my experience, tend to be control freaks
I can see that. A lot of them anyway.

He doesn't seem to differentiate. Once it's gone, it's gone, and you can't apply for a new one. I mean if you were raped or coerced of course it's something you may struggle to get over and therapy may indeed be helpful.

Will have a look.

There is a theory that homophobia has been introduced into the culture (and, when it goes away, re-introduced into the culture) to man-shame predominantly straight-but-prodigal men back onto the plantation in order to get him to continue providing attention, utility, protection and resources towards women as per usual (with lesbians and actual gay men just collateral damage).

Many people call that theory "utterly preposterous" (until you think about it for even five seconds).

It's why no one accuses two women hugging or giving a kiss on the cheek in public of being "lesbians" (even if they are lesbians!) while there is often anxious disapproval of two straight men doing the same thing (unless they're alpha-male linebackers, which most men aren't). At times, that disapproval has even extended to fathers and their sons!

Why do married men often find their male friendships (and hobbies) falling away because of spousal disapproval, but rarely do wives feel pressured to drop her friends (or hobbies)? To keep male attention and provisions directed towards her at all times.

It's matriarchy. It's such a matriarchy we all pretend it's a patriarchy --- to keep the matriarchy well-greased (pardon the expression) and in place... At the very least, women have been running The Patriarchy from the very beginning.

Hence, male homosexuality has no place in the culture (and most men, gay or straight or something in between, internalize this for their entire lives, so male homosexuality becomes the worst possible thing you can do or be).

And today's gay-friendly culture in The West is not really as friendly as it seems on the surface... I've even heard a lesbian (at least, a nice one) warn to not trust women who present themselves as being pro-gay, and that that gay-acceptance is only as good as it services her at any given moment.

The transmania movement of the last decade has been terribly homophobic, and it's kicked-in and been supported by primarily feminists -- white, upper-middle class, quasi-leftist, feministicky women.

He doesn't seem to differentiate. Once it's gone, it's gone, and you can't apply for a new one. I mean if you were raped or coerced of course it's something you may struggle to get over and therapy may indeed be helpful.

I've been in that situation before, kind of. And I never felt degraded, humiliated or mancard deprived. I was just irritated. And decided a second date (if it was one) was totally out of the question.

Even anti-male-on-male rape campaigns are run by feminists... Is it sympathy, or something else?

They warn, especially in Hollywood or Washington, never attend any orgies and never allow yourself to be picked up in hotel lobbies by women (or dudes) who are somehow just a wee bit too attractive (especially if they look barely legal).

They say that there is "a kind of CIA" in Los Angeles, and there has been for decades, monitoring phone calls and sex-capades of the rich and very-famous. And the stars tend to be paranoid as hell (like Tom Cruise) and for good reason.

Others say the larger intel community is literally involved, and they use compromising sexual situations and the threat of exposure in order to control celebrities (for whatever purposes) or simply keep them from taking certain political positions publicly. (Routine rightist & leftist stuff doesn't really matter).

There is a lot of concern recently that now that Diddy has apparently ticked somebody off, and has thus been targeted by federal law enforcement, much of Hollywood (who'd attended his alleged bacchanalian perv-parties) is nervous that they'll be "found out."

Likewise, in Washington D.C., "sexual blackmail" has always been rumored to be the leading business. It keeps the politicians in line (huge bribes don't hurt). And if you come out against the wars (or one particular middle eastern country) you're screwed -- and not in a fun way.

Nearly everybody's compromised. But as long as you behave -- and do as the shadowy spies insist -- you're probably safe.

The extended Valuetainment (which has a lot of interesting conversations, btw) video show Howard asserting that playing anything other than uber-macho roles as an actor also robs you of your mancard and does permanent psychological and spiritual damage to you. As a man.

He even suggests that Heath Ledger doing BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN and playing The Joker led directly to his death.

But given Terence Howard's effeminate vocal quaver, one suspects he lost his mancard long ago.

These people, with these preposterous "masculinity theories" which are so very, very important to them, always have "issues" they've never worked through... Like all those virulently anti-gay superchurch preachers who always get exposed as having tons of gay lovers.

Slighty off-topic, but I'm reminded of the Tiger Woods controversy and how that shocked the nation (I never understood why, it's not like he had invented infidelity).
There must have been powerful men condemning his misbehaviour, but I suspect that wasn't because of what Tiger had done, but the fact that he had allowed himself to get exposed. He ruined it for them, the other famous/powerful men with their faux holier-than thou attitude.

I wonder how many of these important/famous men were thrown under the bus during the MeToo period, just to say "see? It was him all along" ("and therefore not meee").
In other words, whatever you do, make sure you get away with it.
