Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more with that. While it would be nice for the US to have its first woman president, I would prefer one who didn't do the bidding of Wall Street, corporations, and the military industrial complex. Her husband Bill was basically a Reagan Democrat, and Hillary herself was a Republican in the 1960s. In the 1990s, she said the people kicked off of welfare by her husband were "no longer deadbeats." When she ran against Bernie Sanders in 2016, she said "single payer healthcare will never come to pass." She also funneled money through the DNC in 2016. In return, they did everything possible to sabotage Sanders. Like Biden and her husband, she is a corrupt neoliberal. Yes, and she also allowed Trump to outflank her on the left. While she supported trade deals that cost many Americans their jobs, Trump came out against them. Her hubris was another factor. She told Rachel Maddow that she didn't need to court Sanders supporters because she was "winning." When it came time to pick a VP, she could have healed some wounds by picking Sanders or another progressive. Instead, she picked someone even further right than herself. This seemed to be a calculated strategy, considering Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Democrats would pick up two Republican voters for every blue collar Democrat they lost. Since 2016, many anti-Trump neocons have been welcomed into the Democratic Party. It really speaks to how disgustingly right wing they've become.
