It's always apparent when election season is upon us. That's when the Dems send their vile surrogates to shame voters into supporting the Democratic candidate.

Clinton has received pushback from some unlikely sources. Even MSNBC ran an article titled "Hillary Clinton just gave us a lesson on how not to talk about the 2024 election."

Of course, the Democrats are too arrogant to care if it's bad strategy. Their idea of "voter outreach" has always been to shame and ridicule voters into supporting them.

Tone Deaf Hillary Insults Voters AGAIN!!!!

If there's anyone who's defined tone-deafness in the twenty-first century, it's Hillary Clinton. She's one of those "she's fun to hate" people (like Meghan Markle or Brie Larson, etc...) -- even though I've voted for her before (which is a secret, so don't tell anybody).

She's another war pig -- worse than some. And summarily obnoxious. (Although she's one of those people I can picture "knowing").

It's a shame about the Clintons. But even friends of theirs have said that after the Clintons' experience in the White House during the '90s -- where they really were over-investigated at every imaginable turn (leading to Bill being impeached over an affair) -- the former first couple was left jaded, asking questions like "but why does Karl Rove win??" ('cause he's evil, people, and so the rules are different).

Funny, as much as I dislike Trump -- for obvious reasons, I kind of wonder how awful Hillary's presidency might have been had she not lost the electoral college in 2016.

Out of perversity (and I might go to hell for it), I kind of wanted to see it: our first woman president who really was a bitch on wheels.

Obnoxious as he is in his own right, we may have been safer under the hairpiece that was atop Trumpzilla.

Prior to becoming political rivals, Hillary and The Donald adored each other. Reportedly.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't it Dick Morris who urged Bill Clinton to pursue a neoliberal agenda? It seems like these politicians are always advised by ghouls.

I know Hillary was for universal healthcare at some point in the 90s before infamously screaming "universal healthcare will never come to pass!" in 2016.

She also helped usher the destruction of Libya while proclaiming "We came, we saw, he died!" when asked about the death of Muammar Gaddafi.

Although I never voted for Hillary, I would have in 2008 had she been the nominee instead of Obama. That's when I still believed all Democrats had altruistic intent. Had Hillary been president, her supporters would have disingenuously defended her war mongering, the bad economy, her ties to Wall Street, etc. We're currently seeing that same scenario play out with Biden. Of course, all Hillary's supporters would care about is that she was the first woman president. Her critics would simply be written off as sexists.

The funny thing about Trump is that Hillary and the Democrats helped give him a platform because they thought he was the easiest candidate to beat. They wanted the media to give him plenty of coverage because they thought it would make Hillary look favorable in comparison. I guess nobody told her that you can't shame your primary opponent's supporters if you want them to vote for you. They must have also forgot to tell her where the Midwest was. But as per usual, it was the fault of everybody but herself.

Another interesting tidbit about Trump and the Clintons is they were such good friends prior to the 2016 election that the Clintons attended Trump's wedding to Melania:

Likewise, I think Obama came into office with a sincere desire to "fix the system." But that stopped the very minute he stepped into the White House. Doomed reporter extraordinaire, Michael Ha stings, said Obama was "very intimidated" by the generals upon taking office, and so his proposed policies of "peace" on which he campaigned were quickly dumped, his instead choosing to continue (and add to) Dubya's wars, leading Obama's foreign policy team to walk out on him just a couple of months into his presidency --- an occurrence which received shockingly little media coverage at the time, or now.

Obama would tell one of his friends that were he to follow through with what he'd campaigned on, TPTB could do to him what they did to JFK.

So Obama became one of the many corrupted gatekeepers for the establishment, bailing out sloppily-greedy bankers with taxpayers' money as those bankers then foreclosed on the homes of the very same taxpayers who'd just bailed them out; pushing a rightwing healthcare plan (which was toothless without a public option); and funding the weapons contractors with bottomless levels of cash in a way only Cheney before him could have imagined.

Obama just deferred his responsibilities, looking and sounding "presidential" as if he was the grown-up in the room (although there were none) and then retired into status-flushed smugness, the first African American president and one whom "did a great job."

The endless wars America starts or inflames is an elaborate money-laundering scheme to re-route working-class tax dollars up into the bloated coffers of the CEOs of the military contractors, who then send their materiel to the various hotspots around the world (that we've usually created). And who knows -- or cares -- whether those armaments actually get to where they're supposed to go?

Especially when all that matters is not whether the war is lost or won, but that it continues forever onward.

It's Dante-esque. It's satanic... And there is zero concern about how many thousands -- or millions -- of innocent people lose their lives.

Or worse: Michael Has tings, before being blown up himself, also reported on a conversation he'd once had with one of the American generals in Afghanistan who described the conflict there as "magical." So there is an endorphin/adrenaline fueled response that some people have to wartime carnage not dissimilar to the one serial killers are after in the pursuit of their particular crimes.

Remember, there is always a profound sadistic element to extreme selfishness and greed. Always.

One can only imagine how many more wars & conflicts the USA would be in now if the Doyenne of the Warhawks and International Interventionists had been elected.

Not that Trump really stopped very much of that. He was infamous for listening to the last person in the room. And he mostly gave the Pentagon and intel community what they wanted.

But he dragged his feet on some of it, and sometimes seemed vaguely unenthusiastic.

So they prefer a Commander in Chief who really isn't the chief of his own commands. Just do what they tell you and shut up.

Yes, it's obvious he had multiple people in his ear because he was constantly flipping from being an anti-interventionist to a war hawk.

Trump also attacked Bernie's "socialist policies," yet praised Australia's universal healthcare. And in 2020, Trump foolishly portrayed Biden as a "trojan horse for socialism."

In 2016, Jimmy Dore interviewed a coal miner who said rural working-class voters thought Trump was a loudmouth Yankee who should have got his ass kicked years ago. Of course, once the Dems successfully ended Bernie's campaign, Trump was the only candidate left who claimed to give a damn about American jobs. Chuck Schumer brazenly claimed the Dems would pick up two moderate Republicans for every blue-collar Democrat they lost. The Dems not only abandoned the working class, they're also proud of it.

But he dragged his feet on some of it, and sometimes seemed vaguely unenthusiastic.

Yes, it's obvious they just want a puppet who does what it's told and sells the agenda to the public. Trump had a habit of going off script, and they can't have that.

Had Hillary been elected in 2016, the timetable for the wars in Ukraine and Gaza would have likely been expedited.

When Trump began talking about a possible withdrawal from Afghanistan, I recall Democrats joined with devil spawn Liz Cheney to oppose it. They're all one big happy family.

People look at me like I am nuts when I say this - but we have had the exact same president since 1980. There is very little daylight between the policies of Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama, Trump, and Biden. Their intentions may have been different, but the president isn't as powerful as is commonly thought.

The only real difference between Obama and Trump are the culture wars and the disrespect for our institutions. For all the blathering Trump did about building walls, ending wars, reforming immigration, reforming health care, cutting the deficit, etc. - he got next to nothing done outside of overturning Roe v. Wade and ginning up division due over culture wars.

Yes, it's truly astonishing that more people don't recognize this (and once you see it, you can't unsee it.)

Interestingly enough, I posted a photo in another thread back in 2022 that sums it up:
