[QUOTE="DallasFanForever, post: 325305, member: 13221"] Oh I love those! I’m a chocolate addict Lashes. There’s really not a candy I won’t eat It makes perfect sense! Fear can make us do crazy things, and our minds can definitely get the better of us sometimes. It is quite amazing. I probably slept more during that operation than I did the previous 5 nights. I gained a whole new appreciation for how that all works. I also gained a whole new appreciation for how much little girls must love their Barbie dolls because after the surgery I went to stay with my family for a few days, and I remember going to sleep for about 7 hours straight after I arrived. But when I woke up I was in my nieces room and I remember seeing about a hundred Barbie dolls all around the room. Well, I wasn’t in the best mood and I had some pain meds in me too and these dolls all staring at me was kind of bothering me so I took one and threw it across the room. Well that felt pretty good so I threw another one. And then another one. It was starting to feel like real nice therapy so I kept going. But then I heard some stomping coming up the stairs and it was getting louder as it got closer and pretty soon a very angry 10 year old girl was standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips. Of course I denied knowing how the dolls got there right in the middle of the floor. I just said they were there when I got here. Yes! All humor aside, it was a huge relief. And that was on October 25th that year. And when I woke up on October 26th it hit me that it was the anniversary of my mother’s death. I laid there for a few minutes wondering if that was supposed to mean something. Her gone, me still here, alive and well. Her death anniversary, but now my anniversary for being thankful for being alive. It makes you think! I agree. I go to most meetings so I at least know what’s going on but sometimes I don’t go if I feel it’s not necessary. That’s when I’ll go to my truck and login to Telly Talk until they’re done. The meetings are mandatory but they really can’t keep track of all 200 of us. Same people every time, and with the same questions. “Are we getting a raise this year?” “Why don’t we have food in these meetings?” “Can I go home early today?” “I have too many stops, can I get help?” And my all time personal favorite that gets asked every meeting without fail, “Will we ever get bathrooms in these trucks?” Have a good week Lashes and the same goes for everyone else on this thread!
