That darned dream! Me neither. I can’t see a Dallas without J.R. in it. Maybe they try a total reboot one day but I think it’s a long shot at this point. I wish I could remember the whole Who Shot J.R. craze but I was just too young. My first cliffhanger memories are Bobby being shot. I remember my grandparents and my mom watching every Friday night and I really had no interest yet. Then one Friday night I finally sat down and started watching and that was it. DFF was born. When they announced the first reunion movie I was thoroughly confused. I couldn’t understand how they were going to bring back J.R. cause I assumed he had shot himself in the final episode. It seemed like the perfect full-circle ending but I guess there was more money to be made. Friday nights were suddenly very strange in the fall of 1991 though! There was definitely a gaping hole left in the CBS lineup. By some miracle we never lost power here. We did have some scattered tornados and a ton of rain, which led to some flooding. It was really bad for a couple of days but nothing like you see in the other parts of the state. Those images on the west coast of the state are images I’m never going to forget. Shall we set a new one for October? Any ideas? Oh no! I forgot about this!
