Seems like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it? You couldn’t get me to go in the house when I was a kid when it started to snow. Now if it drops below 60 degrees here I run for cover. I can’t picture doing my job in the snow. I honestly don’t know how they do it. Every time someone transfers to our station from a cold weather environment they kiss the ground. This is why I always liked a fake tree instead of a real one, but as I get older I think I prefer a real one now. Those compliments are the best motivation I’ve noticed. Some of the things that have been said to me have been quite humbling. It also helps being lighter when dogs are chasing you all day. You do know how to get on my good side Lashes! I guess that dream never died for me. Til this day I can’t watch a game without feeling a little sad and thinking what if? I will notice a couple of family members in the room kind of just staring at me to make sure I’m okay but I always do my best to keep a straight face and look straight ahead. I’ll even bite my lips so they can’t quiver and avoid all eye contact LOL Thank you my friend! I’m old and injury prone but that’s the fun of it. I’m getting used to it. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to take Dallas out of my name for a few weeks but so far I’m fine and having no withdrawals. You gave me quite a few good ones this year and I’m going to save a couple of them for next year. Thank you again for your help with that! I appreciate you saying that! Long way to go still............... .....................but maybe not as far as I think.
