This feels a but rude, butting in a breaking up the cadence of your conversation.... but caffeine is classified as a drug by WHO, I hear often people saying that the can't function until they have a coffee. They need a "hit" of their DOC (drug of choice). It's possible to OD on caffeine, last year the local papers ran a story about a teenager working at Costa Coffee had 10 expressos during their shift, and had a fit, needing hospitalization. A few years ago a coroner's inquest in Winsor found that the young man (21 I believe) that was on a night out with friends spent the evening in Wetherspoons drinking vodka redbull pitchers. Two of the group got into a argument back at their hotel and the guy in question stepped in-between to act a peace maker. Things escalated and the guy collapsed and died before the ambulance arrived. The inquest found that his blood alcohol level was below the level that would lead to arrest for drink driving. He could have driven that evening. The level of caffeine in his system coupled with the stress of breaking up a fight resulted in a heart attack. Wetherspoons pitchers are like a double shot of vodka and fill the jug with Redbull, high in caffeine. Forgive me for whittering on, but I have heard people talk with conviction built on a firm knowledge base, because they done watched Eastenders and Layla getting a shooter pressed on her dome by some petty criminal from down the local cattle market disco (point of order: I've been to numerous mad banging uber session hosting nightclubs around the world, but some of my most memorable and super fun session were in the local cattle market, sorry "nightclub" under the multistory carpark, outrageous behavior was ignored. You'd have to glass someone or in that realm for the bouncers to drag you outside, and seriously, they'd give you a kicking, but I was a saint) Hmm I've lost my train of thought. Oh yes, misguided ideas about the dangers of drugs. I of course Just say no!... but for some reason people look down on illegal drug users, as if they are beyond redemption and/or help. The judgmental self appointed moral gradians then go to a pub, drink 6 pints a then drive back home. I give a few quid to street beggars, and wish them all the best. When people say "ugh their gonna by drugs with your money" I say "I hope they get wreck up" Caffeine is not considered as harmful by the hoi polio, but it is and it's ubiquitous. Tobacco is extremally dangerous but on sale around the clock, alcohol is available 24 hours a day from petrol stations, some supermarkets and other outlets, but the damage alcohol causes, poor health, addiction, violence, drink driving deaths, is accepted. Prescription opioids are becoming an issue in UK. Doctors freely dish them out, personal experience... I've got enough to get the whole parish hopping. Every month I get more with no GP oversight. But that's accepted. A good friend once showed me his kitchen draw full of morphine capsules. People choose or fall into using their DOC, I find it odd that smack rats (heroin users) rock stars (crack users) blow monsters (coke users) pill poppers and Mandy fiends et al are considered as the lowest from of life by the fiends that drink the gas bill money in the pub and live on opioid scripts smoking 30 a day. The point I kinda got lost making is, caffeine is addictive and can harm the user. Final thoughts Kate once said to me "the ecstasy dealers around B'stoke are putting rat poison in their product, fact! I said "why would they want to hurt or kill their customer base, keeping them coming back for repeat sales makes more sense" She was just, well who knows, and now a mother.... Jesus! I wont tell you what she believed about the police arresting you. It's insane. Ha ha its 21;55 , I started this whatever at 20;00. and 2 gins ago!
