I can understand that. She was probably more of a Dynasty character living in Dallas than she was a character from Dallas. She was camp, and that wasn’t really Dallas. Fortunately for her DFF loves camp LOL It’s weird with me because I notice there are characters I perhaps didn’t appreciate on these shows back then but do now, and the opposite can also be true for me sometimes. I liked original Kristin actually. I guess she wasn’t in the role long enough for me to form an opinion on her though. I’m not sure why they got rid of her to be honest but I doubt it was her looks. I found her very attractive. This made me laugh! Personally I never noticed “the Sue Ellen quiver” until I joined this site. And, well, I still don’t when I watch. I mean, it’s there but it doesn’t really distract me from the scene. As for Mary, yes, she also played the role quite campy at times but that stuff never bothered me. I liked the over the top acting. It kind of defined that era of soaps for me. She was very lucky I like her. I did want to pick up that thing and throw it over the roof of the house and into the backyard but once I saw her standing there and smiling at me while she tried to avoid cracking up I realized how funny it must’ve looked. I have seen it all. I’ve had a dog jump in my van and use it for a restroom, I’ve been rear ended at a traffic light while minding my own business, I’ve set off home security systems, I’ve been stuck in an elevator twice, I’ve been locked out of buildings, I’ve been locked inside properties and had to climb a fence to get out, I’ve broken bones and torn ligaments, I’ve slipped and fallen on camera, I’ve accidentally killed the wildlife by driving over them, I’ve been hit on (not complaining), I’ve gotten tangled in holiday decorations, I’ve been yelled at for speeding, chased by a donkey, wild boars, bulls, cows, and horses, and my personal favorite would be leaving a box of medication at a house that the family dog absolutely destroyed by the time his owner got home. I guess you’re right. I could write a book! Oh, don’t worry! I have a lot more great stories to share. Thank you my friend, and you take care and stay safe as well!! I’ll see you over on the Dallas threads.
