Yes even when I'm not on here we seem to be communicating elsewhere which is great. I tend to get a bit carried away over on Dallas (not so you'd notice) so it feels as though I'm constantly around even if not on here. It's been as low as -6 lately but it's meant to be getting milder over the next few days and very wet and windy. I was lucky where I am as we dodged the snow. Maybe you would just freeze as you're not used to those temperatures and everything might come to a stand still. But I reckon you would cope well and put us Brits to shame. My daughter is travelling a little of the US at the moment. She's just done NYC and is on her way to San Francisco then finishes up in Las Vegas. I'm so envious, that's something I would love to do now. NY weather seemed much the same as here, they had some snow too. So glad that bad weather missed you, hopefully there wasn't too much destruction elsewhere. No way! I so didn't realise that was an average number for you, let alone 244! I think I would cry. Just have to get on with it I suppose, but that's some going. I'm glad you managed it even if uou were turning up quite late into the evening. What a task? It's good to know most of your customers understood. Always get one or two who don't, but that's expected unfortunately. I can imagine. We've all changed our shopping habits. If you said to me only a few years ago I would be shopping online I would have laughed at you. Me do shopping from a computer? Absolutely no chance! Yet here I am and I do. I got through working Christmas, seems like a distant memory now. All that build up and it's over so quickly. I take a while to get back into routine, but I'm getting there. It made perfect sense to me and summed it up really. I knew I had to do it, gave myself a hard time because I knew I had to do it, but it didn't change and engaging with the people I support was special and when it came to it I just got on with it. Oh I hope so. I do feel very lucky to have such a supportive family. Only my immediate little family who I live with though. Not everyone is as lucky I know. Working in some sort of care all my life has shown me how different and difficult family life can be for some. Love that story, it did make me smile! Hope you had a really great Birthday DFF! Hope you're keeping well and having a good weekend, take care for now. Same to everyone else here too. Happy Sunday! Forgot this one! Unfortunately not, just part of contracted hours. Bye for now DFF see you over on the Dallas threads! Thank you. I guess all jobs are important in their own way, but I think it's just a little tougher sometimes when they involve unsociable hours even if it is to suit family needs. Oh do, I would truly love that as others would I'm sure. But I understand how you feel especially if you haven't watched it. Have you NEVER watched it? I feel sad that you're Dallas deprived. Absolutely it's never too late. Maybe you will one day, then I can feel happier that you're not Dallas deprived. Anything you want to know, just ask. I can only try! I bet you know a little bit about it? Take the plunge, come over and join in. I read on your replies to DFF you went to the Lakes at New Year? Sounds idyllic. Hope you had a super time. Take care for now Lashes.
