About 1500 miles so I don’t get up to New York as much as I’d like, and usually when I visit it’s in the city because that’s where my entire family lives these days. But I’ve made a promise to myself that the very next trip up there will include a journey to that little place in my avatar. Not sure how that will go to be honest because that’s such an emotional place for me. It is all good memories though so maybe it won’t feel as sad as I think it will. I’m not a fan of small planes. Well, I’m not a fan of any planes actually. I hate flying because it just seems like such a long way to fall if something goes wrong but I do manage. I’ve flown a zillion times without any issues so I’m not sure why I get so nervous. I just do but of course I keep it to myself so as not to make anyone else nervous. I have a cousin that always tells me to have a drink on the plane to relax me but my argument is who wants to be relaxed if something goes wrong? I want to be wide awake and very alert. I do like your approach though. I like to find humor in the darkest things sometimes as well. Laughing helps me cope. Okay, I really should’ve read this part first ‘cause now I’m not laughing! I’m glad you made it safely. Not sure how I would handle that. An autographed picture of Linda Gray to hold onto wouldn’t be a bad way to go I’m guessing. I’d most likely be holding onto the pilot’s leg begging for him or her to please let me live. No wonder you never forget this trip! And here I was thinking it was because of the Dallas reunion. I don’t think you need therapy my friend but I certainly would after all this. I think about this a lot as my body begins to betray me. I would miss being on the road terribly. There would most definitely be withdrawals, sadness, depression, anxiety, regret, etc. but I think I’d adjust. I’m just not a desk job person and everyone that knows me knows I’d probably go nuts or drive them there instead so we’ll see what happens. I’m open to a change, but then there’s that other part of DFF unfortunately, that stubborn idiot that refuses to accept the inevitable and won’t listen to anyone and keeps putting a band aid on the injuries and keeps going. But I like that DFF too. I’ve become quite fond of him actually so it’s very polarizing. (See LML? We all need therapy on this thread) You know, you’re really not helping with all this encouragement LOL!!! I can certainly relate to this! I was 23 when I walked into my current job. I felt so out of place being one of the youngest people there. I tried to respect everyone and not step on any toes because most everyone was way older than me, and now here I am 26 years later (please don’t add it up) and I’m one of the oldest and looking to fit in with people young enough to be my kids. You take care as well LML! I hope everything is good with you and your family and have a nice weekend!
