MGM&#039;s generally have a more &quot;grand&quot; feel, while Fox&#039;s product seem more flashy and cheesy. She would been in the dumb blonde arena no matter what studio she worked for, I&#039;m afraid. She started that image fairly early on for herself, a stereotype she only intensified with such works as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and The Seven Year Itch. Monroe would have still been a big star, but an MGM star, and I don&#039;t know if her stardust would have lasted into the twenty-first century had she only done movies for them.
