If that was the case then it would have leaked, there would have been rumours. It's been a secret he has kept all this time, his whole life. I think also back when he was a children's presenter and in musical theatre as Joseph it would have been the end of his career if he came out in the early 1990s. Then it just gets harder and harder and you have to keep lying. As he went into more presenting work and higher profile shows it just couldn't have been done. At 57 now, he has achieved everything he could have in his career and has nothing left to lose. If he was to have been sacked by This Morning now it wouldn't have been the end of the world for him. Of course they couldn't do that now, not for him coming out. But not so long ago it would have been as simple as not renewing his contract.</p></blockquote><p></p>
