The Politics forum has been overtaken by threads on the subject of the 2016 U.S. election. It has stifled and buried discussion on other political topics just by the sheer volume of threads. The U.S. election threads themselves have largely devolved into constant partisan squabbling, name calling, baiting and accusations with minimal discussion of the issues.

Going forward, for the time being, all discussion of the 2016 U.S. election will be contained in one super thread. Any new threads started about the U.S. election will be deleted. If you are looking for a more in-depth discussion of election issues, find a forum outside of Soap Chat that is dedicated to U.S. politics.

Also from this day forward any insults will result in a warning. Thread and forum bans will be in place for anyone who exceeds the warning points.


If you take issue with a post in the super thread, use the report function.

We as a mod team have tried various ways to keep this forum in order, from issuing forum & thread bans to politely asking members to stop the bickering and simply stick to discussing politics.


If our decisions in any way upset you, then it's probably in your best interest to find another forum, preferably one that is more politically based than our forums.


Play by the guidelines, post on topic, or leave. The choice is down to you.
