In a bid to become more environmentally friendly, Quality Street has scrapped colourful plastic wrappers on its chocolates after 86 years. The material we use for their shiny wrappers was not recyclable so in line with Quality Street's commitment to make all their packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025, they needed to find an alternative that would be recyclable
Nine of the 11 Quality Street sweets will move to paper-based packaging. The orange crunch and green triangle will remain in foil wrappers as, traditionally, they have not had a plastic layer.
