It's very easy to list all sorts of fabulous and glamorous names, but to come up with the perfect name, the only name possible for that particular character (e.g. Alexis), that's the real challenge. Eugénie, Gwendolyn and Hortense are good names for a character played by Judith Anderson, but it's not catchy enough. It should be special but not too special. How about Magda Colby? Or Ursula, that would also be believable as a European name. Although that could create an unnecessary confusion because she really isn't a European. (kinda like Lance Cumson, the typical Latin Falcon Crest heir eventhough it had nothing to do with his Falcon Crest family, and then his true Latin heritage was symbolized with a western-English name. Baffling!). Hm, it seems I wrote myself into a corner regarding the season finale cliffhanger. But maybe... ..if I combine it with your idea As soon as the revolutionaries (how very TNT Dallas) get wind of Alexis and Ben's plans, it prompts them to return to Denver to finish this American monkey business once and for all. If they'd find a way to trigger the avalanche then maybe this could happen during Alexis' season finale triumph? Yes, she would be "slightly" upstaged by the avalanche, but after ignoring the Colorado snow for so many years I think it's justified. And I like the idea of these 4 people being trapped inside the mansion - and I'd love to see some snow coming in. I can also image Alexis crying "why is this happening to me, why now?" And maybe for once, Joan Collins would be able to act despair in a genuine way. Better still, maybe the avalanche part shouldn't be in her script at all. "Damn you, Liz Taylor! Waaaaaaah" - and keep that camera rolling.
