Both those pictures ended up being career-defining performances for Doris Day and Susan Hayward, respectively. While I can easily see her as Ruth Etting, owing to her on-screen charisma and singing capabilities, I don&#039;t know if she&#039;d quite have the depth to tackle a role like Lillian Roth.
