The only problem is that the trailer, as usual, gives away too much. Saoirse Ronan is perfectly cast and restrained, giving the sense of a deep inner life as a character that might have been a total bore. Every supporting character is great, especially Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters and the guy who plays Eilis´s love interest, Emory Cohen (see the cutie below). The movie is well-directed, wonderfully photographed, the period is reconstructed to every detail, and the writing avoids clichés. If there´s a romantic (not corny) in you, watch this one, you won´t be disappointed. Plus: "Mad Men"´s Jessica Paré has a small role as her wise workmate in a big store.
