Are President Trump’s Tweets Hateful or Harmful? Here’s How To Report Them

It’s no secret that President Donald Trump has a Twitter problem: he cannot stop being unpresidential in his tweets, which the White House has said are “official statements” from the president. Over the years, Trump has insulted various groups of people and the disparaging remarks did not end once he took office.

According to the New York Times, which Trump has referred to as “fake news,” the 45th president has insulted 337 people, places and things on his verified, personal Twitter account, which has more than 33 million followers. These insults have been directed at political figures, news organizations, celebrities, other nations and more. Some have begun to question why Twitter has not yet banned Trump, given that he appears to have violated their rules on more than one occasion. According to the Twitter Rules, abusive behavior on the platform includes:
  • Violent threats (direct or indirect)
  • Harassment
  • Hateful conduct
  • Multiple account abuse
  • Private information
  • Impersonation
  • Self-harm
Trump’s latest Twitter attack was aimed at “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted, “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came…to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”

Trump has previously called Twitter his “own form of media” and will no doubt post another inappropriate rant on social media in the foreseeable future.

Here’s how to report Trump’s tweets as abusive or harmful:

As long as he keeps pushing policies which steal from the poor and middle class to give to the rich, he can screw a goat on the front lawn of the White House for all the Republicans care.

Literally.
