Who are your favorite characters on The Colbys?

I’d have to go with Sable. She was always the show stealer for me. Without her I wouldn’t have watched.

Sable, Sable and Sable. I enjoyed watching Barbara Stanwyck, but her character wasn't an interesting or well-written one. Zack Powers was a perfect soap opera "spanner in the works." And Channing was exactly the type of character that Fallon ought to have been... a bit of a wild card with understandable motivations who made not-impeccable choices (just like Sable became over time.)

I found Spiros more interesting than his uncle, and John Moretti more interesting than the Carters.
I agree with rayray, Constance was only entertaining in her scenes with Sable.

I'm surprised to see Hutch Corrigan on this list when the Cassidys have so much more to offer, especially with Sable in her grandchild-race against her femme fatale sister.

Hutch is on the list because I think everyone who was in the opening credits should be a choice in the poll. It's amazing that Hutch was in the opening credits and Channing wasn't. I wonder if there was more planned for Hutch (maybe other family members) but then the focus completely shifted to the Colbys.

Since polls here have a maximum of 15 choices and 13 actors were in the opening credits, that left only two spots so I chose Channing as Miles' wife and Kolya as Bliss' future husband over Cash, who Monica had obviously long forgotten about when she joined Dynasty in season 9.

It's amazing that Hutch was in the opening credits and Channing wasn't.

It's because he's Joseph Campanella and she's not.

Were there different edits of The Colbys intro theme, something that would make it possible to add or drop opening credits like DYNASTY did? For such a short-lived soap the supporting cast rotated heavily.

Sable is my favourite character by far.
She's also my favourite character of Dynasty and of all the prime time soaps of the 80s.
