Fair enough. Just in these days it seems to be the popular way of communicating.
I quite agree, text messaging is ubiquitous and useful. But also a way to swerve a difficult conversation.

The difficult conversation is often needed. Surly?

Begs the question as to why anyone would use text messaging as the appropriate way to inform the recipient of something serious.
Because sometimes you need to inform several people simultaneously, sometimes you want someone to have a physical record of the information or sometimes the recipient is in a situation in which they cannot talk or sometimes you need to give someone the information but you are in a situation in which you cannot talk.

texting is a bit of a cop out but too easy nowadays.
I have to admit I kind of prefer it myself. Yes, it’s a cop out and a way to avoid people but it’s so much easier sometimes. I especially enjoy it after coming home from work when everyone you just spent 8 hours working with starts calling to vent about their day.

i rarely text but than i'm not on the phone that much either to be honest that don't really bother me, texting yeah at times when you can't talk and that's legitimate can't talk is fine if you are at a doctors office and you don't want to be rude and talk on it and everyone will know your business but honestly i'd prefer talking to someone over texting any day.

Recycling b.s. The petroleum industry has created a masterful public relations campaign that has succeeded in convincing a lot of people that most plastic can be recycled - it can't. And that recycling plastic is cost effective - it isn't. All this so people will continue to buy things packaged in plastic justifying the need to produce it.

100% of glass can be recycled, the same is true of aluminum. Aluminum can be recycled indefinitely; 75% of the aluminum ever produced is still in use today. The miniscule percentage of plastic that can be recycled can only be recycled once and emits toxic gas in the process. By 2050 the volume of plastic in the world's oceans will be greater than the volume of sea life.

Most bottled water is nothing more than tap-water. Most of the tap-water bottled in the U.S. comes from California, a state that has been suffering from a severe drought for the past 20 years. Yet people continue to purchase bottled water instead of filling a reusable bottle with water from their faucet at home.

A co-worker came back from vacation a few weeks ago and commented that she had trouble finding bottled water at her hotel, complaining that the vending machines were full of soft drinks (which she haughtily referred to as "poison"). I've always thought she was a twit but this one took it over the top. I asked her if there was a sink in her hotel room, which of course there was. "All the free water you could want....." I said plainly, causing her to sputter and get her nose further out of joint. I mean, it's not like I suggested she drink the water out of the toilet. I would, but I'm too busy enjoying my poisonous Diet Pepsi.

You can drink from the toilet but it should be something more than mere water.

to be fair there are certain places you should not be drinking the water i think they are Italy i could be wrong on this but i think the other is i think Mexico the one in mexico has you running for the border i am told just not your local Taco bell and not the actual border either.

but most places she could have drank water from. i like bottled water too but what i do is just get a bottle of Gatorade drink that and use the empty bottle for water and freeze it over night so it's cold when it thaws. course you should also change bottles too at times too it's not good for you apparently if you keep using the same bottle.

as what i hate there's another f... virus strain out on South Africa it's not Delta i'm talking about i forget what it's called but it's so far the worst one we've had yet it hasn't come to the states yet. C.D.I. or something like that ? i forget what it's being called it's the 5th one i think? i thought there were only 3 not 5?

this is why we need people to wear masks and f... get the shots but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo they have to be Pro Covid because they all want to die from it. i just found out about some asshole who acted worse than a 5 year old child acts when he found out his child had to wear a mask in school! so what did he do? he made some threats and the fucking school had to go into a lockdown cause it was a threat now he has to call and let them know he's coming.

his reply was i guess i let my emotions get the better of me uh no it's because you are a jackass you jackass that's why you acted like that. yet all he also did was give the kids at school folly to pick on his kids and it no doubt will give his kids issues as they get older. that's how i look at it anyways

I hate when decisions are made at work that affect me but I’m not in the room when they’re made. I’ve never understood this. Did you hear, did you hear? Is this okay with you? No, cause I wasn’t in the room. It does make you wonder, doesn’t it?

it's not just that i hate that but what really pisses me off is when you are in the same room and decisions are made about you what you are gonna do or not do and you have no say. they totally ignore you but the person that is talking they pay more attention to than what you have to say. growing up my mom would do this to me it feels like all the time and there are times when she was i think wrong.

I know what you mean and I hate this as well. But at least if I’m in the room I have a fighting chance to speak up and change things.

One of the blessings of having been on the same position for a long time is that I have 0% patience for people above me trying to make such decisions without my input. Once upon a time I would have been reluctant to speak up, but now? Pssshhh, they are more likely to bring me into the loop because they don't to deal with my passive-aggressive remarks about their inability to manage people properly. I've actually had to point out to past managers that I deserve "buy-in" on the plans--in other words, I want to put in my 2 cents because I'm the one who will be expected to make the whole thing work. What I don't say is that if I am not given that "buy-in," then I can make sure it doesn't work.

sometimes being in the same room isn't a help either cause they at times do still ignore you, there are times when i do think that can helpful but like if you are handicapped and can't speak for yourself but if you are right there and you understand what the hell is being said....

these days i try and speak up but i still don't always get that chance cause at times i really don't know what i do want which is nothing new to be honest.
at work in recent years i laugh at the drama but i'm not gonna lie there was a time when i was a part of it and when i told someone that i grew tired of doing that and now i just take a backseat to it even they said it's about time and though i couldn't help but laugh she was right though. it just took me a long time for that to get into my head that's all

Hurricane season. Sadly there’s no way to avoid it. All you can do is hope and pray that ur not affected. It’s just so sad how you can lose ur house or even ur life to something you have no control over.

Nut-butters that separate. This morning I decided to make a sandwich of cashew butter and black raspberry preserves. The cashew butter had separated so I started stirring it with a knife but that was taking forever. I had the brilliant idea of inserting one beater in my hand-mixer and blending it with that- it didn't go very well. My kitchen is now so clean Joan Crawford would approve.

A dirty microwave oven. I notice this a lot when I’m in other people’s homes. Is it really too much to ask to take out the wheel and clean it once in awhile and wipe the inside walls as well? Every house I go in I see nothing but microwaves with food stuck to the inside. Drives me nuts!
