But as Carly presses on with more questions, Nigel just plain ignores them and unsubtly changes the subject. So Carly is none the wiser and, if anything, probably more concerned than ever.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Pippa, likewise, has concerns about Tom’s job, though she is more concerned with his wellbeing than her own security. He’s under stress and not spending as much time as with the family as he used to. She makes babysitting arrangements (Sally is staying with the Stewarts, leading to one scene having an unusual screen combination of Alf, Nigel and Sally that showed how well any components of this series fit together). Then Pippa borrowed the car to make her own arrangements. It’s good to see a married couple enjoying each other in this way. As with Celia in recent episodes, the references to the characters’ pre-series histories only makes it better.</p><p></p><p>Sadly, Pippa’s carefully-laid plans don’t work out as the car breaks down during that electrical storm.</p><p><img src="https://i.vgy.me/s8WfCE.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>The couple’s return home also ruined Carly and Andrew’s plans. She’d just “persuaded” creepy Andrew to have his way with her upstairs.</p><p></p><p></p><p>In other news, the opening titles have been completely revamped for the first time since the Pilot episode. I still think of this version as being “new”. It makes me a little sad to see the original titles go as they were so strongly associated with the rawness of those classic formative episodes, as well as departed characters like Floss and Nev. I associate these newer ones with a drop in quality. Time will tell if that’s accurate.</p></blockquote><p></p>
