Episodes 336-340 (...continued) Not content with causing trouble for half the town, Colleen guns for the other half when she marches into Blaxland determined to give Marilyn, who is out shopping, a piece of her mind. Any scene between Hopeless Hickey and Pudge Stewart is very welcome. As usual, Morag rolls her eyes and looks down her nose while Colleen marvels at the splendour of the mansion and tut tuts at Marilyn ingratiating herself with the “rich and famous” while draining Lance’s bank account (she’s just discovered Lance is broke again, having blown his lotto winnings). When Marilyn arrives, Colleen thinks her concerns are justified: But the two become firm friends when it’s clear that Marilyn is interested in Lance and not his money. Now impressed with her Lancie’s glamorous girlfriend, Colleen invites her for a meal at Lance’s place and is a little taken aback when Marilyn quotes from the Bible: With Marilyn’s flightiness, it’s hard to say how much of her story is true. Still, it’s something that there’s now a little backstory: even if it feels a little superfluous. Milco is now well and truly back in Sally’s life, to Tom and Pippa’s great concern. It’s a concern for me also, since I struggle with the spelling. I’ve always spelt it with a “k”. Apparently it’s actually with a “c”. But it’s possible this was a retcon when the “real” Milco was introduced to the series some eighteen years on from these episodes. Long story short, apologies if I have it wrong either way. However it’s spelt, he’s certainly been at the centre of some storylines this week. For example Sally blames Milco for telling her to say the nasty things to Roo. And when Sally removes all the badges from Dodge’s trademark coat, she says it’s because Milco wanted them. Dodge is naturally livid and after trying to physically attack Sally takes his frustration out verbally on Pippa: He bides his time for a short while, being cheerful and overly friendly to Sally.
