On Dynasty I have thought that Alexis killing Krystle's unborn child should have been dramatic irony- only the audience and the first Mrs. Carrington know about it. When Blake and Krystle found out it made it harder to believe they would allow her to be in the same room with them, let alone invite her to family gatherings or let her come into their home uninvited.
On Dallas only JR and the audience knew the truth about what JR did to Laurel. Miss Ellie and Clayton saw him as a hero. I thought that added a layer to the show, a darker but intriguing one. It would have been interesting if Clayton started seeing JR in a slightly better light and acted grateful toward him in future episodes.
What other events or plot points in Soapland do you think only one character and the audience sjould have known and stayed that way?
