Afton's German voice is a matter of taste. I personally liked it a lot, and of all the voices that were replaced in the original show, I had the most trouble with her new voice, even more than with Miss Ellie's. Afton's original German voice actress, Marina Genschow, had passed away, so Angelika Milster (the later musical star from Cats) took over the role of Afton. As for the character of Afton, she didn't really bother me. She develops in a good direction for me, at least in her original run of the show.
