[QUOTE="Bobby Southworth, post: 445129, member: 4960"] Air Supply.. For whatever reason, this guy born in 1978, who just barely has the memory of "Even The Nights Are Better" and "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All"..somehow I formed an appreciation for this band in the mid 90's, by the time their American fan base, and especially my generation pretty much viewed them as a has been or a joke. Yes..It goes without saying that they found a formula that worked, and man did they ever run with it while it lasted. I'll be honest, most of their big hits sound too..artificial..?? for my liking. They're just very greeting card line sentiments set to a lot of the same sounding music, with heavy orchestration. The positives.. I've always had a place for their first American hit, "Lost In Love". I'm a lyrics guy, and it surprises me, that for whatever reason, I just usually find this song to be ear candy. I don't even really care about the lyrics, but the soothing, chill vibe of the song, and Russell Hitchcock's soaring vocals just make this one a winner. Other songs worthy of mention.. "Do What You Do"-a minor, somewhat upbeat hit from an early album "I Want To Give It All" "Sweet Dreams" "When The Time Is Right" "Sunset" "You Are" "I'll Find You"-From an album in 2003..this is an example of the stellar songwriting I feel they were able to return to. Simply amazing. "The Way I Feel" "Every Woman In The World" This one is finally starting to grow on me..I used to not really be very fond of it, but it's actually one of their most realistic love songs. and last, but certainly not least..a song that people seem to either love or hate, but I think "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All"..that's an epic song.
