It's lovely to see his enthusiasm for the series. His Diaries gave the impression he really enjoyed working on it, as he did a lot of the kids' stuff. It's interesting that his demeanour on Blue Peter  is quite similar to how it would be if he was talking to Parky or someone.  I think that's why kids loved him. There was no talking down to them.
