Thousands of school children skipped school to attend Climate Change protests in Sydney (New South Wales) and Melbourne (Victoria). While I appreciate and defend their right to protest no way in hell should kids be encouraged to skip school to attend such events. I'm wondering if this event was organised over the weekend if "the thousands" would turn up. Have you ever tried getting a teenager out of bed, before lunch, over the weekend?
Someone should remind this generation in order to reduce our emissions you/we need to change our behavior. One in, all in. As an experient I'd ask parents to challenge their children to go without their precious devices for 1 week. No television, computers, smartphones, gaming consoles and lights out before 8pm.
And kiddies? Be careful what you wish for when you demand the government does something because inevitably it comes back and bites the taxpayer in the arse - as in taxes.
