Ending the daily coronavirus briefings was effectively saying the lockdown is over and the threat from the virus is behind us so the government doesn't need to keep everyone informed of developments any more. Also, announcing the easing of the lockdown including the reopening of bars, cinemas, hairdressers, cafes and restaurants 10 days before it is scheduled on July 4th was also the height of stupidity. People just felt that was another signal that everything was returning to normal and ignored the fact that the changes wouldn't take place for a week and half.So since Johnson's last coronavirus briefing we've had people flocking to the beaches and numerous street parties and raves occurring around the country.
