Peggy Bundy from Married With Children.

When my mother remarried, her new husband had this shrewish ex-wife whom my mother only tolerated for the sake of the new stepdaughter who would be caught in the middle if they actually said out loud what they really thought of each other. This was quite the undertaking for my mother, a woman not known for keeping an opinion (or an insult) to herself. The ex-wife had married the manager of a shoe store, so my mom took great joy in referring to "Peggy Bundy," code for the ex-wife.
