I&#039;d argue that it was better than what DYNASTY was given us at the same time, but yet still not quite up to the heights of something like KNOTS LANDING. 

What I really enjoyed was the on-screen &#039;spats&#039; Stanwyck had with Stephanie Beacham, who played her sister-in-law Sable on the show. Their scenes together are delicious. Had Stanwyck decided to stick around, the show might&#039;ve lasted a little longer, but probably not because soaps were on their way out anyway.
