Golden leaves are crunching underfoot. Fields are misty. The comforting scent of burning wood fills the air. And something mystical is just around the corner.

All of which means it's time for our October tradition of Spooky Names here at Telly Talk.


Drop your name request below, and we'll delve into our bag of tricks... and treat you to a bewitching new username for the rest of the month (don't forget to log in with the new name once it's changed).

There'll also be a few seasonal changes to the site throughout the month, so look out for them.

All the characters are in the living room of the Falcon Crest mansion because of a bad lightening storm combined with torrential rain. Emma has an idea; (a scene from season 7, 1987 - '88):

Emma: "Look since we are all here for a while why don't we play a game together?"

Carly: "Yes!"

Emma: "I've come up with a mystery game. It's called murder at Falcon Crest. You know it is kind of like one of those murder mystery weekends."

Richard: "We certainly have enough suspicious characters."

Angela joins them, from her study.

Richard: "Hello Angela!"

Emma: "Is that alright mother?"

Angela: "Why not."

Emma: "Think of it. Who will be the murderer? Will it be Chao-Li in the kitchen, with sharpened chopsticks?"

Angela: "Melissa in the sunroom, with an axe."

Melissa: "Or Richard in the attic, with a blunt object."

Maggie: "No no! I vote for Angela, in the study with a letter opener. That's my vote!"

Emma asks in a mysterious tone: "Who will be the victim?"

Richard: "Don't everybody raise their hands at once."

Emma: "Face it we were born to play this game. I've already hidden lots of clues, all around the house. The object of the game is to connect all the clues together and figure out who will be the victim and who will be the murderer, before the stroke of midnight. Game is afoot."

Someone is found in what seems to be blood. Are they part of Emma's game or dead for real?

The Halloween style is the default for October so hopefully will automatically be appearing for most members, apart from those who have chosen a specific non-default style.

I use the Halloween style all year round --- it makes me happy and reflects my lifestyle!!

Also, at my age, I can no longer read the blue & white design most people use.
