it's been a lot of fun seeing how the votes finally stacked up.

It's been a real blast to put together, and I've enjoyed every minute of watching it all come together. I'm also happy that we all get to do it again with the 21st Century characters and the ultimate bid for our all-time favourite character.

I wasn't as prepared this week; I had no idea I would release the results over a few hours, so I'm hoping to get as prepared as I can for the next result.

It didn't help that the numbers wouldn't balance, and it took me a while before I realised someone had included a character that wasn't on the list. With so many characters,. I didn't see it for quite some time, and it was frustrating, to say the least.

I hope the ironing was a fun diversion from all those numbers.

Yes, I was hoping that we would see a different winner - though I realise how foolish that sounds when we look at the core of what Telly Talk is all about.




I will also add that having restrictions didn't really take away much, with 80% of the top ten coming from the super soaps.

I hear you. The winner was the least surprising aspect of the whole competition as it was just so inevitable. Not that it's not a great character but... there are thousands of other great characters as well.

What I did enjoy was looking through the list and applying the Eighties Nighttime Soap Exclusion rule. Nine of the characters in the non-soap Top Ten were ones that I'd voted for, so I was pretty happy.

If i have to think of a TV character who summed up the last decade it was Larry hagman

and not surprosed Victoria ? Pam came second as by mid 80s she was outshining JR as the most talked about and written about celeb in Dallas
