I was also thinking that each decade should be shows that started from January 1st of that decade, it doesn't matter if the show continues if the next decade, but to put a cap on each one, we should stick with the starting date.
That's a good idea, even if it means that JR belongs to the 70s rather than the 80s (which is the decade most people associate him with, but still, it means any other Dallas character created after Jan 1st 1980 is fair game).

I think a good order would be to start with the 21st century, then go to the 80s (as I'm sure most people on here are mostly 80s soap fans), then a toss up between the 70s and 90s (just coin toss which would go first lol), then maybe 60s, 50s-and before. Or maybe save the 80s until the last round to have everything go out with a bang instead of a whimper as I'm sure interest will decline after the 80s.

I liked 22 of them but I could think of so many actors/actresses that deserved to be listed on the list.

Desperate Housewives was the first show I thought of after reading the list. I actually went back and read it again thinking I missed something. I would’ve thought at least one of those characters would’ve made the list, possibly two of them.
Bree Van der Kamp was and excellent character. Marcia Cross was simply outstanding in the role.

Some that spring to mind;

Eden Taylor-Draper as Belle Dingle.

Richard Ellef Ayoade

Hayley in Corrie was just a beautiful character.

Apparently I don't watch a lot of modern TV. I have only watched two shows from that list. Firefly and Empire! o_O

Still I am rather surprised that a character from Firefly made the list and not someone from Buffy or Angel. But maybe they are considered 1990s characters?
Although both shows went off the air in the 2000s. Same things with Friends.

I definitely would have included someone from Desperate Housewives, Bones, Army Wives, 90210 and John Ross from the new Dallas if I had made the list.
Other modern shows that I like include McLeod's Daughters but it's an aussie show.
I also watched Freddie and The Crazy Ones and Ringer. Maybe they are not the best since they didn't make it past the first season. I watched Necessary Roughness too.
I absolutely loved the Fuller House reboot and right now I have just started watching Seal Team. Then let's not forget about The Crown and Victoria.

Seems like I have watched more modern tv-shows than I thought if you add them up. At least 19 of them. :D
But only two made their list. So my conclusion is I don't have the same taste in TV shows as the person who made that list!
