A show like Knots Landing where you can inevitably switch from one family to the next does better in a longer format in my opinion if you accurately play the beats. Of course, there's soaps like Revenge that have a hyper focused central plot line that might do better with limited seasons, but overall soaps if anything should do well with long seasons.</p></blockquote><p></p>
